One of the dosage forms available for Hydroxyzine HCl is Oral Granules. Certain medications, when prescribed in a powder dosage form, are dangerous to humans if inadvertently inhaled during routine administration. Wedgewood Pharmacy developed granules for several of our compounded preparations to reduce the risk of chemical exposure to horse owners, veterinarians and staff when they administer medication to horses. Granules are larger than 100µm (microns), the largest particle size that can be inadvertently inhaled, so the amount of dust produced when administering the preparation is reduced, thereby helping to decrease the risk of exposure.

2 strengths of Hydroxyzine HCl Oral Granules are available, ranging from 250 mg/scoop to 500 mg/scoop.
